Capcom unveiled a new title at yesterday’s Playstation State of Play. The action game is called Exoprimal and you beat up dinosaurs with a mech suit. Uff.
If you’ve always wanted to don a mech suit to stop a dinosaur invasion of a futuristic city, look no further than Capcom’s new title, Exoprimal. The action game announced yesterday is scheduled for release in 2023 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
Apparently this is a kind of PvPvE title in which two teams of five players each compete against hordes of invading dinosaurs. The main game mode is called Dino Survival. In it, the two teams must complete dynamic mission objectives in competition. You usually fight each other with dinosaurs, have to defend bases or transport cargo. But the orders can also be to mess with the other team.
The Exosuits have different properties for different playstyles. Deadeye serves as a ranged fighter with heavy weapons, Zephyr goes into close combat, Roadblock acts as a tank thanks to its energy shield, and Witchdoctor in turn as a healer. Exosuits can be swapped in battle to adapt tactics to the current situation.
The multiplayer missions should be held together by a narrative, in the course of which you will learn what is actually going on in the game world. More information about the game will follow later in the year. For now there is a trailer:
