Interesting combination: The creative director of the highly acclaimed action cracker Spec Ops: The Line and the guitarist of Nine Inch Nails have founded a development studio. Pure horror, so to speak.
Eyes Out is the name of the studio that Cory Davis (Spec Ops: The Line) founded together with Robin Finck, the guitarist of Nine Inch Nails. The Los Angeles-based studio is already working on its first title. Apparently, the aim was to create a synthesis of music, narration and interactive experiences. Makes sense insofar as the studio’s first game is supposed to be a horror title.
The debut is full-bodied as a “single-player immersive cosmic horror game with strong environmental storytelling elements”, whatever that means in the end. Davis already has experience in the genre, including serving as the director of Here They Lie, as well as level designer for Condemned 2: Bloodshot and FEAR Extraction. Finck has already worked on the soundtracks for Observation and NOCT.
The first information about the game should be available in the coming months.
