A giant leap: In sports games that are given a new offshoot every year, the difference to the predecessor is often small. When F1 was released in 2016, the exact opposite was the case. Because compared to the (relatively) unsuccessful predecessor, not only have many innovations been implemented, but the entire game has been improved in almost all areas.

F1 2016 in test – what a comeback!
Good, but for professionals: Before we get into the game: If you can’t do anything with Formula 1 or realistic racing simulations, you won’t have fun with F1 2016, even if it’s really good. Because the game is clearly aimed at fans and connoisseurs of the sport. The entry curve is high because the races demand everything from you. But if you already have a steering wheel at home and the slopes are your home, you will have countless hours of fun.

Cool career: The biggest highlight is definitely the extensive career mode. In this you not only chug from one race to the next, but you can also extensively modify your car. A lot also happens off the track, for example you talk to your team in a bar and plan adjustments to your car. Depending on how “real” the experience should be, you can take part in training sessions and decide whether the races are the full length or shortened for the game.
Of course, there are also game modes apart from career, from time trials to tournaments in which you can win trophies as your favorite driver (from 2016). Overall, this offshoot has become a well-rounded affair, both on a technical and playful level.
