Thanks to a new cooperation with Disney, the indie hit Fall Guys is getting prominent newcomers: There you can soon pounce on characters from the cult series Tron.
Mediatonic today announced a new collaboration with Disney that revolves around the iconic sci-fi brand Tron. As part of the collaboration, several characters from the franchise will soon be fe atured in the successful indie title Fall Guys.
From May 24, 2021 you will be able to compete as Tron, Quorra, Rinzler and Sark in jellybean form in Fall Guys. You can equip your customizable character with a variety of costumes from the Tron films, including glowing circuits and sci-fi aesthetics, as you are used to from the cult films. The new options should fit perfectly into the retro-futuristic theme of Season 4.
Fall Guys now has more than 40 million players on PC and PlayStation. Since the developer is now part of Epic Games, the collaboration also coincides with the reintroduction of the Tron outfit collection from Chapter 2 Season 5 in Fortnite.
Jeff Tanton, Creative Director at Mediatonic, comments on the campaign: “Tron is the timeless family story of sentient computer beings who are forced to compete against each other in rounds of ruthless competition under the leadership of mysterious users. So it was almost impossible for us to find clear parallels between this Disney classic and Fall Guys’ neon-soaked wonderland: Ultimate Knockout – Season 4! Fortunately, the good folks at Disney agreed that the Tron costumes just look super-adorable and we should go ahead anyway! “
