If you are the kind of person who has played Eldon Ring and thought “it might be related to hunger meter and disease”, then this mod is for you.
You may remember one of the post-release updates Fallout 4 It’s Survival Mode, a mode that adds things like fatigue, thirst, and sickness. It adds a huge challenge to the game and keeps you on your toes. Now, modder Grimrukh has made a very similar mod, FromSoftware The latest is even more powerful (thanks to PC Gamer).
Grimrukh shared an initial look at the mod earlier this week (June 2nd) and detailed some of its features. On the one hand, you can craft new foods to combat hunger and thirst, which seem to be necessary, as if your max health seems to be temporarily lowered when you’re hungry.
There are also region-specific diseases, such as Ringgrave Plague, which accelerates the effects of hunger and thirst. Thankfully, though, it does appear that you can get or make a cure for these ailments.
The mod also adds the ability to craft weapons, as well as new ways to improve said weapons as you move.
Perhaps the most threatening is the “True Darkness” that comes with the mod. This leaves you essentially invisible at night, with the land in between being covered in a thick layer of pitch-black fog. You can alleviate some of these problems with a nice bright flashlight, but it does make things scarier.
There seems to be some Breath of the Wild The impact there, when you enter Caelid and it says “heat is losing,” a notification pops up on the screen. It may seem like this is starting to burn yourself out, but a quick-drinking heat-protective soup can do the trick.
According to Grimrukh, the mod should be out tomorrow, June 6th, so you can try it out for yourself before long.
At least recent updates have made things easier to balance.
