Half-Life: Alyx in Minecraft – Fan shows his gigantic project in the video
A player has made it his task to completely recreate Valve's new VR game Half-Life: Alyx in Minecraft. In the video above you can see a walkthrough of the first minutes that the user with reddit name nezoGG kindly made available to us.
The corners of City 17
The video shows: The scene begins with a look at a lovingly reproduced City 17, the setting of Half-Life: Alyx. As in the original, the Minecraft version starts our fight against the extraterrestrial Combine troops in the apartment of our resistance friend Russell.
Distinctive template: From the balcony of the hideaway, we look at city 17, the fearsome Combine's Citadel, the great base of the alien invasion, rises up. The attention to detail is particularly striking. Even the iconic cables with which the citadel seems to be clinging to the city unmistakably remind us of the great template.
The original as a template
In the course of the original game Half-Life: Alyx, we penetrate into the citadel to face the occupation by the enemy aliens.

Half-Life: Alyx test video – After that, every other VR game is second-rate
The Alyx project in Minecraft is still in its infancy. So nezoGG has a lot of work to do if he really wants to bring the entire game onto the flat (and square) screen.
Apart from the first dialogues and a few steps out of the apartment, there is not much left, apart from the impressive cityscape. Nevertheless, this early version of Minecraft: Alyx shows what impressive projects are possible in the famous block sandbox.
