PlayStation has revealed the slate of new games that will be added to its PS Plus collection next week, and it’s full of enticing titles to keep you entertained this Christmas. So what’s coming December 20?
To start, players with PS Plus Extra and Premium will be able to dive into three different Far Cry games: Far Cry 5, Far Cry New Dawn, and Far Cry Primal. Admittedly, this isn’t the best game in the series, but it’s still worth checking out if you like Far Cry. Far Cry 5 is certainly the highlight here, giving you the chance to take on cult leader Joseph Seed and liberate the community of Hope County, Montana.
In addition to this, WWE 2K22 is also coming, allowing you to play your favorite WWE Superstars alone or with friends. This one won’t arrive on December 20th, but we can expect it to be added to the service sometime soon after.
Then, there’s Mortal Shell, another RPG that tests your patience. It’s known for being brutal, ruthless, and clearly inspired by Dark Souls, but don’t let that put you off. The game is still unique compared to other Soulslike games and comes with a mysterious story.
Next, we’ll see two more Yakuza games added to PS Plus: Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. With them, from the same team, the judgment will come. Judgement is a psychological thriller and adventure that puts you in the shoes of a mortified lawyer-turned-private eye traversing the criminal underground.
PS Plus will also add Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Middle-earth: Shadow of War to the service. As you might expect, both games take you to Middle-earth. surprise! Among the two of them, you will also face the evil Sauron. Again, no surprise.
You might already be thinking, there are a lot of games to consider, but more are being added. Something for almost everyone: Pedestrians, Evil Genius 2, Adventure Time Pirates Enchiridion, Ben 10: Journey of Power, Dragon Games, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Ultimate Edition, Worms WMD, and The Escapists 2 will all be added too.
Last but not least, it’s time to discuss which PlayStation Classics will be joining PS Plus Premium. The selection of classic games has been poor so far, but it seems to be gradually expanding its game selection. Players can look forward to seeing Ridge Racer 2, Heavenly Sword, Oddworld: Abe’s Exodus, and Pinball Heroes in the classic catalog.
There are a dozen games in time for the holiday season, and while we’d love to see more classic games than we already have, we can’t complain too much this month. What do you think of this month’s PS Plus picks? let us know!
