Virtual farmers can look forward to it. Giants Software announces the Farming Simulator 22 and sends you to your fields and pastures this year.
Farming Simulator 22 is slated for release in the fourth quarter of 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Mac and Stadia. For the first time, Giants Software is not only taking care of the development of the game, but is also active as a publisher, while astragon is once again devoting itself to sales. As usual, you can act as a virtual farmer, both alone and with up to 8 (console) or 16 players (PC, Mac, Stadia).
Two new maps and an updated version of the alpine Erlengrat map offer plenty of space for different farms. There are more than 400 machines and devices from over 100 real agricultural manufacturers, including new categories. Players should also be prepared for the onset of the four seasons.
Based on GIANTS Engine 9, Farming Simulator 22 benefits from a number of technical improvements such as more realistic AI and a livelier game world. With DirextX 12 support on Windows systems, texture streaming, multi-threading optimization, occlusion culling and temporal anti-aliasing, the Farming Simulator 22 should receive a performance boost.
Since 2008, the simulation series has sold over 25 million copies. The farming simulator is available on all common platforms such as consoles, mobile phones, tablets and PCs.
