Game news Final Fantasy 14 – A new record for the MMO
The Final Fantasy MMO continues to grow and attract more and more players. With the launch of the Endwalker DLC and the launch of the PlayStation 5 version of the game, the title hits a new record!
Final Fantasy XIV Online has seen a sharp increase in player numbers over the past few years. It must be said that adding several extensions has greatly improved the experience. In less than a year, the number of users of the title has increased dramatically, reaching a total of 22 million players.
Square Enix’s title had reached a total of 20 million players in July 2020. The Shadowbringers expansion helped the MMO grow from 16 million to 18 million players in December 2019. Also note that multiplayer creation only had 10 million players in August 2017, which means that production has doubled its user base in just four years.
As a reminder, the open beta of the PlayStation 5 version of the game will be released on April 13th.
