The events at a glance
As mentioned at the beginning, Dying Light 2 has already had some hustle and bustle behind it. The release date in the spring of last year was postponed indefinitely in January 2020. Reports of chaos in development then surfaced, which Techland denied. Sexual harassment allegations against the scribe Chris Avellone caused his departure. A long-time Techland employee also left the company.
After a year of negative headlines and extensive radio silence, something stirred again at Dying Light 2 in mid-March 2021. The release is no longer just a hope of the fans, but again an entry in the calendar.
