For six months now, Call of Duty: Warzone has been in a bad mood among players. Reason is Operator Roze’s Rook skin, which came into play with Season 5 of CoD: Modern Warfare and Warzone in the summer of 2020.
The clothes are kept completely black, which makes the character almost invisible in the dark corners of the Warzone. The special skin could only be obtained by either playing through the Battle Pass or buying the way up to level 100. In the wake of this circumstance Pay2Win allegations according to.
Now co-developer Raven commented in response to a tweet from esports entrepreneur Jack “CouRage” Dunlop. So one belongs »Adaptation to pink« on the improvements that will “soon” be introduced in Call of Duty: Warzone.

What’s the problem?
Operator Roze dresses completely in matt black with the rook skin, even the eyes behind the black mask are colored with dark make-up. In the numerous dark areas of the Warzone map, it almost completely merges with the background.
Players quickly discovered that some of the poor opponents simply ran past Rook because they couldn’t see them. It is now not uncommon for entire Warzone lobbies to consist only of rook operators. An extreme meta-shift that creates a potential disadvantage for non-rook players.
The thing is particularly problematic because you can no longer get the skin. So if you haven’t reached the end of the Battle Pass in Season 5, you are currently at a disadvantage in the Warzone.
At least that is an argument against the allegation of the intended Pay2Win, since the skin would certainly have sold very well as a variant that could be bought at any time. However, it has not been available for months. At least the planned changes, whatever their nature, are potentially very good news for CoD: Warzone players.
