Epic offers you epic battles with battleships this week.
Every Thursday you can pick up a gift from the Epic Games Store, but this week there are even two. In our article, we will show you for whom free content and games are worthwhile this time. If the gifts don’t convince you, then there’s always the Diablo 4 open beta this weekend:
World of Warships Starter Paket

Submarine Alert: World of Warships now has underwater combat
World of Warships transfers the concept of the successful World of Tanks to the high seas. Instead of tracked vehicles, everything from the agile torpedo boat to the mighty battleship controls here and compete against each other in multiplayer battles. Only a few months ago, submarines were added to the action simulation as a new ship class.
Since World of Warships is a Free2Play game, there is only a starter pack available for free in the store. It contains the premium battleship Ishizuchi and other in-game items that you would otherwise have to pay money for. However, you can only use the package if you play World of Warships via a player account created with Epic.
Suitable for whom? The pack will be especially useful for those who are new to World of Warships. If you’ve already played World of Tanks or World of Warplanes and you’ve always wanted to pilot a huge battleship, then the pack might be worth starting with.
Chess Ultra
Those who like playing chess can also compete against the computer with Chess Ultra, with chic graphics.
Of course, the full version of a game in the Epic Store is also being given away this week. Unsurprisingly, Chess Ultra is a chess game where you can play against the AI or real players in different modes. Those who are particularly motivated can even work their way up a ranking list with rated games. For a little puzzling in between, you can also solve chess puzzles.
Suitable for whom? In order to be able to do something with Chess Ultra, you must of course be able to play chess or at least want to learn it. Graphically, the game is at least impressive.
