Warpips: Release-Trailer
In Warpips you command an army of soldiers, tanks, planes and helicopters in 1v1 battles. The gameplay is quite simple: you select your troops before the battle and then send them individually to the battlefield with one click. However, you must have the necessary resources for this, which you automatically collect during the battle. The trick is to find out in which combinations you use your troops against which opponents.
The roguelite elements result from the genre-typical repetition. Your opponents are procedurally generated and a single battle only lasts 10-20 minutes. After a battle, you get access to a talent tree where you can make upgrades that will make your life easier in the next round.

Who is th is suitable for?
Warpips is particularly suitable for people who would like to try a new approach to the strategy genre, but are overwhelmed by micromanagement. The game is also worth a look for roguelite fans, as it is not yet another twin-stick shooter, jump & run or card game and thus brings a breath of fresh air to the genre.
It is criticized that although it is a lot of fun, it feels very repetitive after just a few hours. Sometimes the amount of content is also criticized. Still, the game has 89 percent positive reviews Steam.
Do you like Warpipes, or are you rather disappointed this week? Can you do anything with roguelites or strategy games at all? What would you like for your next free game? Write it in the comments!
