P and Crouching Lies: Fallen Dynasty will team up later this year, though there’s no word yet on what we’ll be getting from the team.
With Koei Techmo and Neowiz combining the two companies’ 2023 soulslikes for a double campaign, it’s a good reminder that this year is looking pretty good for fans of the genre – even if we have to keep praying for Bloodborne port or remaster.
As for what we can expect to see, recent history can go a long way toward pointing to the tangible results of such corporate collaborations. Back in March, Crouching Dragon: Fallen Dynasty was paired with Naraka: Bladepoint – a third-person live-action battle royale game that’s been trending for a while now. Here, players in Naraka can acquire equipment inspired by the Three Kingdoms period in which Crouching Dragon lived.
So in-game decorations are a tried-and-true possibility, and since Wolong has a pretty good character creator and gear skin editor, you can easily throw in some Eurogothic weapons and clothing and call it a day. Who knows, maybe it will go both ways and we can fight our way through a mechanized France full of Han Dynasty threads. One can dream.

If nothing else, this crossover really hits the reality that Soulslike fans are having a great year! Crouching Dragon: Fallen Dynasty is a great break from the format, with a parry-centric and challenging system that will surprise Souls fans and newcomers alike. On the other hand, while Lies of P hasn’t been released yet, its demo has been downloaded more than a million times since its new trailer was released at the PlayStation Showcase this month. By most accounts, another explosion.
Who doesn’t love an old-school crossover? It’s always a surprise to see one of your favorite games pop up inside another. Monster Hunter World is sure to feature a lot of Capcom characters, but when Assassin’s Creed went to gmae, people started playing Bayek. Back in the day, I’d put hours into The Inventory’s Poker Night, mostly due to the way the characters interacted with each other.
Which begs the question: what’s your favorite video game crossover? Let us know below, and if this Wolong x P lie collaboration caught your eye.
