Fortnite has a new game mode and based on the model it could be a huge success, because a similar variant is one of the favorites in Call of Duty: Warzone.
Fortnite has grown again this weekend, as Epic Games has released the new Reload game mode. It is very reminiscent of the Resurgence mode from Call of Duty: Warzone and that sounds like a good idea. Resurgence is one of the most popular game modes in Warzone.
The description sounds entertaining: “In Fortnite Reload, teammates get restarts as long as there is one member of the team left. Reload is a 40-player experience on a more compact map with familiar locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row. If the entire team is eliminated, it’s game over! Whether you choose Battle Royale or Zero Build in this mode, the last team standing wins.”
On board is a new, more compact map that basically re-uses many elements of the original Fortnite map. The more compact layout is intended to ensure a more aggressive style of play, combined with the fact that players respawn after each death. Reload is currently available for squads in both build and zero build.
As expected, Fortnite Reload also brings new rewards. There are introductory missions, each of which is worth 20,000 XP, as well as (depending on the number) other rewards such as contrails, paint jobs or back accessories. There is also a hang glider for an epic victory.
The new game mode was extremely well received over the weekend, with over a million players wanting to try out Reload. The feedback currently sounds very positive and quite a few hope that Reload will become a permanent mode and that there will also be variants for solos, duos and trios.
