Of course, a winter event should not be missing in the long-running Fortnite. Epic Games is about to launch Operation: Snowdown.
Fortnite players can rush into this year’s winter event called “Operation: Showdown” starting tomorrow, December 19th, and look forward to fresh content and rewards. Among other things, new outfits, accessories, orders and more beckon.
The special new mission is carried out on the frosty front lines by Oberknackers right hand: Snowman. Until January 6th, 2021 you can accept multiple assignments from Schneemando and receive free rewards upon successful completion. These include the back accessory “gift sign”, the pickaxe “Frostkugeln” decorated with snow balls or a hang glider, paintwork, another back accessory, another pickaxe and more.
For nine completed missions you will receive the outfit “Snow Man” and after twelve missions you will receive the winter outfit “Funkelfrost” for free.
Aside from the rewards, there are changing and random limited time modes, or LTMs for short. Also included is the popular Air Royale and the completely new “Shockwave” mode. In this you have to try to push each other into the ever smaller and extra strong storm. Also taking part for the first time is the LTM “Pickaxe Frenzy”.
New and returning Christmas outfits can be purchased in the item shop. And last but not least, the festive emote “Everyone sing along” is now available free of charge in the item shop until January 5th at 3:00 pm.
