Nice surprise! The behind-the-scenes documentary titled Grounded II: Making The Last of Us Part 2 will be available soon, Kenneth Shepard has announced. Following the success of Grounded: Making TLOU in 2013, this new documentary promises a fascinating look into the making of the sequel to the cult game released in 2020.
The documentary will be released on February 2nd on YouTube and as a downloadable expansion for TLOU Part 2 Remastered.
Filming for Grounded II began in 2016, but was halted shortly before the release of The Last of Us Part 2 in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The documentary may look at the state of the Naughty Dog studio during development, which would have been characterized by intensive work periods (crunch) to complete the game.
