In parallel with Astro Bot, in conjunction with the other production of the talented team Asobi, free content for the new flagship can be obtained exclusively for the PS5.
Since last June, Team Asobi has been preparing the ground for Astro Bot by adding free content that can be unlocked in Astro’s Playroom. Over the months, four robots have been added to the game, with the last one finally available to coincide with the release of the new flagship exclusive for the PS5.
New free content for Astro Bot leaked
In addition to its extremely solid gameplay and excellent art direction, Astro Bot is a true love letter to the PlayStation universe and to video games in general. We knew this new PS5 exclusive from Team Asobi was going to be huge, but our review completely convinced us in this regard. To increase the excitement surrounding the next game, the studio added robots that could be unlocked in Astro’s Playroom.
In June we were introduced to a character inspired by Bloodborne. In July there was talk of a reference to Selene in Returnal. In August it was a Gran Turismo-related pilot. September is here and now it’s time for the fourth robot to be unlocked for free in Astro’s Playroom to enjoy in Astro Bot. This time it’s the famous monkey from Ape Escape, another iconic PlayStation license.
To restore it in the Astro Bot predecessor, follow these steps:
- Go to the first part of the RAM meadow
- Pull a string to reach the first checkpoint
- Turn around at the bridge and spot a bot in a bush near the checkpoint
- Go behind him, approach a bluish light in the clouds and shoot your projectile there
- A monkey bot appears, locked in a cage
- To free it, you must find bananas scattered throughout the level.
- As soon as the bananas are returned, the monkey bot starts dancing
- You must reproduce these dances in the following way: the Floss (arrow up), the Carlton Dance (arrow left), the Disco Dance (arrow right) and the Irish Dance (arrow down).
- If successful, the monkey bot Ape Escape will be released and you can enjoy it on Astro Bot
