What do the Cologne Cathedral, the new Berlin Airport and the Podcast RSS feed for GameStar-Plus members together? Absolutely nothing! Because while the cathedral and airport are still unfinished in the landscape, another major project in human history has finally been completed with our RSS feed.
OK, maybe not so big project, but un fortunately one that we had to put off for a long time because other website innovations (such as the responsive article design or the new comment system) took precedence. We can only apologize again for that.

But who wants to look into the past when you can also look at your cell phone? Thanks to the RSS feed, you can now use podcatcher apps all public and plus-exclusive episodes of the GameStar podcast download – after all, every second episode appears only for GameStar Plus. Of course, the RSS feed also works with RSS readers for desktop browsers and smartphones/tablets.
The RSS feed is there for all Plus users, for each of you our system will generate your own feed URL. In the following we answer the most important questions. And we look forward to your comments on the feed. That’s why the new comment system had to be finished first, ahem.
Where can I get the feed url?
In the “Premium Podcasts” section of our podcast topic page, Plus members will find a link with which they can request their personal feed URL, which contains their username, among other things. This URL should look like this:

How do I copy the feed URL?
You copy the URL by right-clicking on the green link box “Your personal RSS feed” in the PC browser and selecting “Copy link address” (Chrome) or “Copy link address” (Firefox). Hold your finger on the link on your smartphone until the context menu opens, in which you select “Copy”. Or you can simply click on the link, mark the URL in the address field of the browser and copy it.
Which app should I use?
Simply paste the feed URL into a suitable podcatcher app, such as the Podcasts app from Apple (not to be confused with iTunes). The free apps are also popular Castbox (Android), Podcast Addict (Android) as well Overcast (iOS). In addition, the RSS feed works with the paid app Pocket Casts, which is available for iOS
You can then download and listen to all podcast episodes directly in a podcatcher app. Also regular RSS readers like Feedly recognize our feed and inform you as soon as a new episode is released.
Not all apps can read the personalized feed. If you have problems with the personalized link, try one of the apps suggested above.
Where do I enter the feed URL?
In Apple’s Podcasts app, there is a small plus symbol in the top left of the “Podcasts” tab for pasting the URL (up to iOS 11). As of iOS 11, the option to add feeds is hidden under “Library”, then “Edit” and “Add podcast by URL”.
Podcast Addict offers a plus icon in the top right corner of the home screen, then select “Add RSS feed or Youtube channel”. With CastBox you have to enter the URL in the podcast search field (unfortunately only possible on Android); For Overcast, click Add a Podcast, then Add URL. And Feedly, as well as other readers, offer an “Add Content” or “Add RSS” option.
Help, my feed has stopped working or is empty!
Have you recently changed your password or username on GameStar.de? Then you have to download the feed again and add it to your app again. The feed will also stop working if you cancel your Plus membership. But who would do such a terrible thing?
What do I do if I don’t have a GameStar Plus?
Order GameStar Plus, of course, what a question!
