Yuanshen Shock Theater Mechanic Return to Lightning with new stages, challenges and rewards!
This is a long tower defense mode, but each stage has some tricks you can use to avoid being overwhelmed.
Yuanshen Shock Theater Mechanic’s Guide | General Tips
Your options for Mechanicus are limited in the early days, but as you earn points by completing stages and clearing specific challenges, you can unlock more. However, if your layout is correct, then the first batch of Mechanici is sufficient to clear most of the stages. Later unlocking, such as exile or binding, is helpful, but often requires more work or longer cooling time. However, if you find yourself struggling, Arcanum mechanics are great for boosting your attack power.
There are many slots in each stage to build the mechanical god, but you should avoid stringing them out too much. Find an area where enemies will gather and build most of the traps there.
Likewise, focus on a few elements in each wave, so that your fortune bar upgrade can go further without spending too many points.
Although you can’t cause actual damage to party members during the mechanical theater, you still want to carry various elements with you. This mode allows you to trigger elemental reactions and break the shield, thereby reducing the pressure set by the mechanic. Pyro, Hydro, and Anemo are the most useful elements.
Yuanshen Impact Theater Mechanic Guide | Theater Mechanic Stage One
Phase 1 is an introductory phase and shouldn’t cause too many problems-this is good because at this point there are very few Mechanicis you can use. The enemy is moving straight forward, and you have two clusters to load Mechanici.
If you didn’t use your mechanic to trigger a reaction to slow down the ruin guard, do it with your character. Overload and Frozen are ideal for it and any other large enemies.
Yuanshen Shock Theater Mechanic Guide | Theater Mechanic Phase 2
Phase 2 introduces a second enemy terminal, but they still use the same path. Concentrate your mechanics in front of the stairs and focus on Hydro, Electro and Cryo to reduce their speed. Add some Pyro on both sides to occasionally trigger overload or melt.
Enemies have shields at this stage, but your Pyro character can easily remove these shields. Lawachurls is your biggest threat, but relying on Cryo or overloaded settings should help you get through it.
Yuanshen Shock Theater Mechanic Guide | Theater Mechanic Stage 3
Phase 3 is where you need to change the layout between waves. This time you have two terminals, with each enemy team targeting a different one. Fortunately, the path of the enemy can easily knock them off the stage.
Anemo Mechanici can help to do this, or at least push the lighter enemies back, which is handy for fast Samachurls. As always, be sure to throw some Cryo Mechanici along the main path. Since both enemy teams are moving in a straight line at this stage, triggering a charge is also a good way to cause chain damage.
Yuan Shen Shock Theater Mechanic Guide | Theater Mechanic Stage 4
Although you can use some simple techniques to manage chaos, the difficulty increases significantly in this area. Here, the waves converge in the center of the map. You can stack Cryo or Electro Mechanici in the available slots to slow down the enemy, and Anemo pushes them back and increases potential damage.
Another strategy is to group your mechanics in front of each staircase and place flame mechanics on the edges to trigger reactions and prevent waves from even reaching the center. The Pyro also helps destroy the electric shield of the Abyssal Mage faster.
Yuanshen Shock Theater Mechanic Guide | Theater Mechanic Stage 5
Stage 5 seems to be a simple skinning of stage 3, but you need to change your strategy here. Ignore long distances-or if available, use only one or two Geo Crackshots-because one or five enemies can easily slip past here. Concentrate most of the mechanics in clusters near the terminal.
AoE attack is your best choice, so stick to Electro and possibly Hydro. Pyro Mechanici is good, but only at higher upgrade levels. You can trigger the overload yourself to knock back the enemy.
Yuanshen Shock Theater Mechanic Guide | Theater Mechanic Stage 6
Stage 6 is more forgiving, thanks in large part to a unique gimmick that allows you to deal with group threats. Both waves of enemy forces will converge in several key areas. Electro and Cryo are here again to slow them down, and one or two Hydro Mechanici will produce some useful reactions.
However, the elevated platform in the middle of the stage is the interesting part. Phase 6 has an Adeptus bridge like Phase 4, but you can use special equipment to control when it appears. It can easily block the enemy, and when you deactivate it, if they are on the bridge, you can also throw them into the abyss.
Yuanshen Impact Theater Mechanic Guide | Theater Mechanic Stage 7
Stage 7 is similar to Stage 2, but with stronger enemies. The same Pyro/Electro combination should be easy for you to complete, but another setting focuses on Hydro and Cryo at the foot of the stairs. These two, plus some Anemo help from one of your characters, can prevent the enemy from risking too far, and are especially useful for dealing with Samachurls.
Yuanshen Shock Theater Mechanic Guide | Theater Mechanic Stage 8
This divides the threats into three, but don’t waste your resources dealing with each separately. Concentrate your mechanics in a cluster near your terminal, and use AoE attacks from Hydro or Electro, and invest some Cryo to deal with speed.
Or, you can focus on one type of Mechanici instead of building for Reactions, so that your Stick buff will further increase your potential damage.
Yuanshen Impact Theater Mechanic Guide | Theater Mechanic Stage 9
The 9th stage is the opposite of the 7th stage. You face three threats again, but you need to divide your mechanics along each path. As always, slowing them down is the top priority. However, since you need so many mechanics, we recommend sticking to one or two types at this stage, so that the upgrade is more efficient.
When Thunderhelm Lawachurl appears, you must have at least one outstanding Pyro character on your team. Characters such as Diluc, Klee or Yanfei can remove their shields before reaching your mechanic.
Yuanshen Impact Theater Mechanic Guide | Theater Mechanic Stage 10
Stage 10 throws everything at you, from the Abyssal Mage to Lawachurls and Geovihaps. This is a familiar stage setting, as before, you need to focus Mechanici in front of your terminal. Knockback response is the best, so overload is a possibility to try.
Some players find that using Cryo and exile for knockback have better luck, although the cooldown of exile means that it is not very good in emergency situations. Either way, make sure you have Hydro and Pyro characters in your team to handle the Abyssal Mage Shield. If you have Venti, Kazuha or Sucrose, any of them can bring enemies together or stop them in a short time.
