miHoyo announces a native Playstation 5 version of Genshin Impact will release this year.
Genshin Impact Will Release A Native PS5 Version This Year
The free-to-play online Action-RPG Genshin Impact will be getting a native Playstation 5 version this year. The upgraded open-world exploration experience will feature 4K resolution, enhanced in-game textures and faster loading. Currently those who play Genshin Impact on Playstation 5, are playing the PS4 version via backward compatibility.
Faster loading times means players can enjoy their exploration more seamlessly when travelling between the diverse and stunning in-game environments.
President of miHoyo Forrest Liu shared that “The PlayStation®5 is an ideal platform to enhance the vast open world featuring in Genshin Impact, allowing the team to incorporate more thoughts and ideas into the game, both now and in the future”.
As for when the PS5 version will release is still unknown but the press release says “soon”. Those existing players on Playstation 4 will be able to continue their adventure on Playstation 5 for a next-gen experience.

Recently version 1.4 released in March, increasing the Condensed Resin cap, and a number of features. There have also been recent rumours that Genshin Impact might be coming to the Epic Games Store in future.
