Free games of the week epic games store It’s Square Enix and Eidos’ Montreal Space Ride, Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy.
The game will be available for free in 2021 until January 11, and is set 12 years after the Galactic War conflict. Step into Star-Lord’s shoes as you guide his companions across the galaxy and through the predicament they find themselves in.
In single-player, you will command your allies in battle to save the galaxy from destruction. When battle comes, each Guardian brings something different to the team. Explosive Expert rockets deal area damage, Groot provides defensive support, Drax is more of a tank, and Gamora excels with a sword.
One of the great things about the game is the ability to respond to allies via musical cues, which ties in with Star-Lord’s love of ’80s music. As the game progresses, you’ll be able to listen to various tracks on Milano’s jukebox. Some tracks will play a key role during Huddle, a key gameplay mechanic in combat. You’ll also have the opportunity to choose between two tracks on the Star-Lord tape player, which will help you motivate your team.

Next week, adventure sim “Sail Away” will replace “Guardians of the Galaxy.” In the game, you pilot a customizable ship across an ocean that swallows the keys to a mysterious past. During your journey, you’ll befriend fishfolk, expand your crew, fight pirates, and chart a course through the watery world.
