The new game version with additional content will be available from August 20, 2021 for PS4 and for the first time natively for the PS5. In technical terms, you can look forward to 3D audio, better loading times, 4K resolution as an option and a targeted frame rate with a time rate of 60 fps.
Progress from the PS4 version can be carried over to the PS5 if you already own the game. PS4 buyers will receive a patch to match the Director’s Cut, which also enables a number of new features in the previous game, including improvements to the photo mode, accessibility options and more. There will be a new mode in the multiplayer part.
PS4 buyers will also be able to pre-order their game to be upgraded to Director’s Cut in the PS Store. If you buy the Director’s Cut on the PS4, you can also transfer it to the PS5 at a later point in time when you buy the console.
