Ghostrunner is about to expand further.
In the developer live broadcast on Thursday, Ghost Walker Developer One More Level announced two new modes in the first-person cyberpunk action game this summer.
The first is the Wave mode inspired by roguelike, which allows you to battle 20 waves of increasingly difficult enemies. Between each round, you will have the opportunity to upgrade your character through random buffs. If you manage to complete all 20 rounds, you will get an exclusive sword. If you die in any wave, the game will take you back to the beginning of the wave, not all the way to the beginning.
Another promising new mode that Ghostrunner is about to launch is the “assisted mode”, which is designed for players who just want to experience the game story and the game world without navigating the challenging arena.
The specific details of this story mode have not been revealed, but it will be on par with the Wave mode. If you are curious, One More Level will hold a limited beta test, and you can register now to access this update early.
Of course, Ghostrunner’s sequel budget is twice the original, so it’s great to see the developers continue to make free updates to the original game.
