A sequel to the independently produced “Ghostbusters” is being produced.
505 Games has announced the development of a sequel on Thursday, Ghost walker Has officially started. Although the publisher did not say bluntly that this will be a sequel, it confirmed that the development will be handled by the original creator One More Level.

505 Games acquired the Ghostrunner IP in March for 5 million dollars. The company stated that the budget for the new game will be twice that of the original game, although it did not disclose the specific number. The Ghostrunner sequel is being developed for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and the “higher level” seems to have abandoned the previous generation of consoles and Switch.
The team’s initial budget will be 5 dollars ($6 million). However, the details of the game have not been shared today, considering that the team only provided some additional content for the original, so it may not be a while.
Nonetheless, this is good news for fans who proved to be hidden gems of the independent last year. So far, Ghostrunner has sold more than 600,000 copies.
