The indie insider tip Ghostrunner is getting a sequel. Owners of last-gen consoles may get away with nothing.
The indie hit Ghostrunner is getting a sequel. Publisher 505 Games has just announced this. The Italian company acquired the rights to the Ghostrunner IP in March 2020 for 5 million dollars. For the second part, twice as much budget should be available as in the first part.
The development is again in the hands of One More Level, who created the first Ghostrunner. The sequel will only appear on PC, Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5, which means that the developers are clearly giving the last-gen consoles and the switch the cold shoulder.
Details about the gameplay have not yet been published and that should be a while in coming – after all, the development team has only just delivered new content for their debut. For fans of the indie insider tip in the cyberpunk setting, which has now sold more than 600,000 copies, a second part should definitely be welcome.
Ghostrunner hits Nintendo Switch on Tuesday, October 27th, like publishing partners All In! Games and 505 Games announced today at the Tokyo Game Show.
