With just a few weeks left, God of War Ragnarök will be THE blockbuster par excellence for PlayStation 5 this fall. The current Sony console even supports up to 120 fps in one mode.
Not only should fans with God of War Ragnarök get their money’s worth in terms of play, technology fetishists are app arently also served by Sony. As has now become known, the title will even support up to an incredible 120 fps – depending on which graphics mode you choose.
So reported Press Start Australia Now that players will have a choice of four different graphics modes. The two main options you have to choose between initially focus on either resolution or performance. In both variants there are then again differences.
If you leave the “High Frame Rate” option switched off, you can play in 4K resolution at 30 fps or at a fixed frame rate of 60 fps. Anyone who activates the feature gets God of War Ragnarök in resolution mode with 40 fps, but in performance mode with the mentioned 120 fps. According to the English-speaking colleagues, a TV or monitor compatible with HDMI 2.1 will be required for the latter.
There are already quite a few games with a 120fps mode on the PS5, many with a focus on multiplayer. Examples are Fortnite, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Destiny 2 or Rocket League. But other games like Borderlands 3 or DOOM Eternal also give players such an option.
However, players of the new action hit will need a lot of space on their hard drive: the PS5 version devours 84 GB of storage space, the PS4 version even a whopping 106.9 GB.
God of War Ragnarök will be released on November 9th for PS4 and PS5.
