Made by Google
is the title of the hardware event where Google plans to announce supplies for its Pixel products and more next week. A large part of the hardware shown has already appeared on the Internet in advance. Partly because Google itself has pre-announced details.
We know of at least three key products in the Pixel lineup that Google plans to officially unveil to the world in October: The Google Pixel 7, the more expensive Google Pixel 7 Pro, and the Google Pixel Watch, the IT giant’s first smartwatch.
In addition, there will probably be new things to see from the smart home segment. And who knows, maybe Google has an unexpected ace up its sleeve. We summarize for you what we think of that Pixel-Event am 6. October expect and how you can follow the presentation live.
By the way: You should be able to pre-order all the products presented on the same day from Google and selected partner shops.
Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro: New Google smartphones
The entire presentation focuses on the new smartphones from Google: the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro. You can find a comprehensive overview of all the information we already have about the new smartphones in the Pixel 7 article by my colleague Patrick.
In a nutshell: While much of the design of the smartphones remains the same, the front camera is to be upgraded on both devices. In addition, a new generation of Google’s in-house Tensor chip is used under the hood, which should ensure up to 10 percent better performance.
However, Google can apparently also cost a lot for these innovations. According to leaks, the prices of both variants should increase sharply.

Google’s Pixel 7 breaks a sad record and will probably be more expensive than ever
Pixel Watch: The first Google smartwatch
In addition to the two smartphones, there is also the most important digital accessory from the company for the first time: the Pixel Watch will be Google’s first smartwatch. It will also be shown in detail at the hardware event.
Google acquired fitness tracking company Fitbit three years ago, and now it’s looking to reap the rewards with the Pixel Watch. But the Pixel Watch is not just a fitness tracker, it’s a full-fledged smartwatch.
Nevertheless, it seems that they are starting out moderately and do not want to compete with the top models from Apple, Samsung or Garmin right away. Instead, you seem to want to test the water with the first gener ation of the Pixel Watch and then jump in later with a running start.

Google Nest: new products for the smart home
In addition to the core Pixel products, there will also likely be new information about Google’s Nest lineup. Smart home fans can look forward to up to three revised product categories, even if Google itself has not yet confirmed anything more precise.
On the one hand, there is a new Nest router that supports Wi-Fi 6E, among other things.
A new Nest Doorbell is also possible. There are already all sorts of rumors on the internet about a second generation of the smart doorbell, which this time can probably also be attached with a cable.
Finally, we are not ruling out new smart speakers or displays. Two years or more have passed since the last revision of Google’s portfolio in these product categories – half an eternity in the smart home area.
And beyond? What else could Google surprise you with?
In addition to the probable announcements, there are three other products that Google is most likely currently working on: its own pixel tablet, a smaller version of the pixel smartphone and its own foldable.
The Pixel Tablet, which was already teased at this year’s Google I/O, is not due to appear until the end of next year. And so far there have only been rumors and leaks about a Pixel Mini and a Pixel Fold. So we think the chances of Google showing anything concrete as of now are pretty slim. But of course we like to be surprised and convinced of the opposite.
