With the start of the new year comes awards season in Hollywood. Of course, this also includes the Grammys. This year, Hollywood has been affected by fires, meaning large parts of Los Angeles have burned down.
Now the question is whether the Grammys should even take place since they are held in Los Angeles. A date for the award was originally announced. But now there are some changes. We will inform you about it.
Grammys 2025: Will the awards ceremony take place?
On your own website The Grammys previously announced that the musicians' awards ceremony would take place on Sunday, February 2, 2025. They invited all nominated musicians and guests to the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
But the current circumstances in California raised doubts about the date of the award ceremony. However, the organizers seem confident because the Grammys will also take place on the planned date. This is reported by CNN.
Changes at the “Grammys 2025”
Nevertheless, the show should be redesigned. The focus should be on the difficult times and the victims of the fires. The music label The Recording Academy announced this in a letter. The label has also organized the Grammys since 1959. According to CNN, the awards ceremony will take place as planned in cooperation with local authorities.
The Grammys will not only honor the artistry and achievements of our music community, but also serve as a platform to reinforce the spirit of resilience that defines this great city of Los Angeles.

The safety of guests and crew has top priority. The evening will also be dedicated to raising funds to support wildfire relief efforts. It is hoped that this will honor the courage and commitment of the rescue workers who risk their lives to protect others.
The Oscars 2025 are also affected
The Oscar nominations were originally scheduled to be announced on January 19th this year. But the announcement has now been postponed to January 23rd due to the fires. In addition, it should take place virtually and no longer in person. The annual luncheon for nominees has therefore been cancelled.
The actual 97th Academy Awards are still scheduled to take place on March 2, according to CNN. All invited guests and nominated stars will gather at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. However, this date could also be affected by the further development of the fires. So for now, patience is required.
By the way, the Grammys will also be broadcast live. In the States, the broadcaster CBS takes on this task alongside the streaming service Paramount+. You can always find new series and films in the streamer's media library.
