Racing game fans on the PlayStation are sure to be getting their engines roaring impatiently as the launch of Gran Turismo 7 draws ever closer. Now there is some information about the download of the game.
Finally, on March 4th, PlayStation owners can look forward to the latest installment in the Gran Turismo racing game series. However, one thing is already certain: you should clean out your PS5 drive in good time. As per PlayStation Direct, Sony’s store page, the game will take up at least 110GB of storage space. Uff. Not a little, with a drive size of 825 GB and a good incentive to tinker with another SSD in the console.
A Twitter account that reads the data from the PlayStation Store states that the PS5 version is “only” 89 GB, but this information is still without the planned Day 1 patch. However, there is good news: you will have plenty of time to suck the 110 GB onto your drive. According to the current status, Gran Turismo 7 should be available for preload from February 25th. This saves you from staring impatiently at the loading bar on the release day.
Gran Turismo 7 is highly anticipated as it brings the venerable racing sim to the next generation of consoles, albeit still out on PS4. The game is said to have over 420 vehicles and 90 tracks, brings a weather system into play and also brings back the popular GT mode.
