The rumor mill surrounding GTA 6 won’t stop until the game is finally out, and probably not even then. A well-known GTA leaker now claims to have received more specific details.
Renewed rumors about GTA 6 – in principle, this is a message that could be moved directly to the trash. Because as long as Rockstar does not comment on this, there is a lot of speculation, unless it is about monstrous leaks, as happened a few months ago.
This time, however, the information comes from a fairly well-known and previously also fairly accurate Rockstar insider named Tez2, who has been mostly correct with his information in the past.
In the GTA forums has Tez2 has now commented that an announcement is definitely set for this year – in his view, Rockstar management is not in a position to delay the announcement any further.
He also has an opinion on the release: “Your desired, constantly changing and not fixed date is Holiday 2024 (i.e. the Christmas business next year). This date has been postponed several times in recent years. Unfortunately, it could also be postponed to the beginning of 2025. “
According to Tez2, it is likely that Rockstar would rather remove parts of the game and later submit them as DLC than accept significant shifts again.
What’s up? You don’t know, after all, Tez2 doesn’t name any specific sources, so it’s not clear whether he got insider knowledge or his statements are just pure speculation again.
Officially, it is only clear that GTA 6 is in development and Rockstar has apparently put all available resources into production – even other projects such as remasters of Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 are said to have been shelved.
