While we have to wait until next year for GTA 6, a new edition of GTA 4 could be released this year. In any case, one of the most famous and reliable GTA leader speculates.
The disappointment was a bit tall when Rockstar Games Grand Theft Auto VI moved from autumn 2025 to the coming May 2026, after all, we still have to be patient for a year until the action blockbuster is released. Until then, another GTA release could be in the house.
In this case, the choice of words “re-release” would probably be more correct, because it is reportedly that a new edition of Grand Theft Auto IV could probably be published in 2025. In any case, this is what one of the most renowned and reliable rock star and GTA leakers gives the best.
It is a common Tez2, which has now commented on a possible GTA 4 remaster in a forum. In the past, he has regularly hit the mark with leaks and news about Rockstar Games and now took up a corresponding community discussion. There he says:
“Jemandet at R* referred to an IV port and until now it should be under development for a year. We could see a publication later this year,” said Tez2.
The insider also assumes that this remaster from Grand Theft Auto IV is the reason why the much-noticed LCPP-MOD was removed from the net. With the Rockstar-own new edition, the GTA classic could now find the way on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Since the game has been around for 17 years, graphic adjustments are most likely to take into account technical progress since the original release.
The plans for a new edition of GTA IV have existed since Tez2 since Corona times. If nothing has changed in this timetable, there is also positive news for supporters of the Max Payne series: According to the GTA IV remaster, a revised version of Max Payne 3 would also be on the plan. In this context, a large bundle consisting of the Max Payne 3 port and the remakes from Max Payne 1 + 2 could also be published. We will of course keep you up to date with the further developments of this rumor!
