Last year there was a huge hack that leaked over 100 GB of content from Rockstar Games projects into the wild. After a delay, the complete source code for GTA 5 has now found its way online – and it also reveals interesting details about Rockstar’s upcoming DLC โโplans.
Excerpts from the GTA 5 source code had already become public last year as a result of the major hack – and with a little delay, the complete source code for the Bockbuster has now apparently made its way onto the Internet. In addition, new excerpts of the Python code from GTA 6 and seemingly every single file for the long-discontinued sequel Bully 2 also appeared.
In the context of GTA 5, deeper cheating options are now feared, after all – if you want and want to – you can now work quite openly with the source code. Separately, this source material also reveals some other interesting details. Accordingly, Rockstar Games once had larger DLC plans for GTA 5.

Some gamers looked at the countless lines of code in detail and not only came across concept maps, renderings of buildings and characters and more, but also various DLC hints. Accordingly, there are concrete references for a whopping eight additional contents that Rockstar Games had apparently once planned but then never published. It refers to:
- SP Assassination Pack
- SP Manhunt Pack
- SP Norman Pack
- Agent Trevor
- Relationship Pack
- Enterprise Pack
- Prologue DLC
- Liberty V DLC
The list would therefore have included a return to Liberty City as well as an exploration of the story in a prologue before the main game. Also, Trevor could have become an agent in some way.
In 2017, a spokesman for Rockstar Games officially confirmed that there would be no DLC for GTA 5, which was originally released in 2013. The reason for this was also the success of GTA Online, apart from the fact that the story of GTA was generally viewed as “very, very complete”.
โThe Chop Shopโ is the next major update for the long-running GTA Online.
