Fallout 5 is long overdue…really. But wait, here’s some great news that should delight you and of course keep you busy for hours.
Fallout 5 is obviously not coming immediately. Bethesda has just released Starfield and the studio intends to work hard to add content. A certain The Elder Scrolls 6 is currently in production “almost” at the same time. And only then should Fallout 5 possibly see the light of day. So unless another studio manages to attract Bethesda, it won’t be tomorrow that the franchise returns to prominence. Even the “next-gen” patch for Fallout 4 has been delayed, which is saying something.
Fallout 5 is long overdue, whatever, we have a surprise!
Luckily, an army of super-talented fans known as FOLON® came up with an incredible idea and came up with a new episode. A completely new Fallout game that has caused a stir even within Bethesda’s premises, as the studio has already poached several talents from this small group of enthusiasts. The name of this game: Fallout London. The promise of a post-apocalyptic RPG set in a ruined London where time has stood still. London will be released as a free Fallout 4 mod, initially on PC. Between you and me, it would be very surprising if Bethesda didn’t react negatively, but we can see them welcoming the work or highlighting it in one way or another. After offering work to a few developers, why not?
In any case, this Fallout London will be released alone and as a mod. The game has had us chuckling for a while, teasing its universe and mechanics numerous times, but without ever giving us a release date, until today! Here we are, Fallout London will be available to download for PC on April 23, 2024.
The game will therefore of course let us discover London in the world of the license. It’s hard to say what to expect from the narrative side of things, but visually it’s definitely a real treat. Retro-futuristic atmosphere, dystopia, post-apo… the artistic representation seems to be up to date and the atmosphere of the franchise is fully respected. While we wait for Fallout 5, a remaster of one of the previous works or even just the “next-gen” patch of Fallout 4, a more than interesting and very solid adventure could await us.
Does it heat you up?
