Gaming News GTA: The Great Bad of Vice City is Dead, a living tribute from Rockstar Games
Grand Theft Auto are not only huge sandboxes where you can do anything and everything, but also titles with impressive stories and colorful characters. Unfortunately, one of the actors on the flagship franchise just passed away today.
A Hollywood star has left us!
Before favoring castings consisting entirely or almost entirely of rookie actors from the backgrounds the games were inspired on for more authenticity, the Grand Theft Auto saga used to be signed with leading Hollywood actors. We naturally think of Michael Madsen (The Dirty Eight, The Mutant, Kill Bill: Volume I) who played Toni Cipriani in GTA III, or even Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks) who plays Donald Love in the same episode. GTA Vice City could also count on the presence of renowned actors such as Luis Guzmán (Wednesday, L’Impasse) or even the late Ray Liotta (Les Affranchis), who lent his voice to Tommy Vercetti, the hero of the game, nothing but that. Unfortunately, GTA: Vice City recently lost another of its famous voices: Tom Sizemore.
Rockstar is a beautiful tribute to Tom Sizemore
Tom Sizemore died on March 3rd… The then 61-year-old actor was best known for having starred in several cult films starting with Speed Kills but also Saving Private Ryan by Steven Spielberg and of course Heat. Note that he also brought to life Sonny Forelli, the big bad of GTA Vice City. Next to, Rockstar Games, saddened by the news, today produced a beautiful tribute to the late star.
Tom Sizemore’s effortless, cool, and phenomenal character work was an inspiration to all of us here at Rockstar Games long before he starred as Sonny Forelli in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Rest in peace Tom pic.twitter.com/2mdyh02Xhq

Many American stars have also paid a beautiful tribute to Tom Sizemore, starting with Danny Trejo, who unveiled a photo where we can see the late actor accompanied by director Michael Mann, but also Jon Voight, Val Kilmer and Robert De Niro.
Robert De Niro also spoke to The Hollywood Reporter newspaper to express his sadness and affection. On our side, all thoughts obviously go to the family of Tom Sizemore, a man who had the right to cult roles in both cinema and video games.
