Gun Jam is an unusual mix: it combines that Gameplay from Guitar Hero with a shooter. Here you have to shoot in rhythm to get the highest score. The Jaw Drop Games team uses a prototype on Twitter to show how it looks. A gameplay video from this can be found at the beginning of this news.
The developer released the video in mid-April 2020. However, the feedback was so positivethat he decided shortly afterwards on April 30th to expand the idea into a complete game.

Gun Jam wants to offer that
The title is an arena shooter. The peculiarity is that the Opponent spawns synchronized with the soundtrack and you can see from a Guitar Hero style ad when you have to shoot to stay in the beat. The better you are in it, the higher your score.
The Plans for the full version the team details on the official shop page on Steam. In addition to the arcade mode, there should not only be a complete campaign, but you should also plan for several playable characters. the environment should also adapt dynamically to the music. The centerpiece will be online rankings on which you can measure yourself against other players. It is not yet known whether you can import your own songs.

Not the first rhythm shooter
The shooter developed by Jaw Drop Games is not the first game of its kind. The team from Cloudhead Games with Pistol Whip already has one similar concept implemented for VR. The rail shooter is also all about killing your enemies in rhythm.
Jaw Drop Games is not a novice. Previously, they developed games like Q.U.B.E. and hue. Gun Jam does not currently have a release date. On Steam it is only listed with the note "Coming Soon".
