In the past few weeks and months, the rumors and speculations have increased that Half-Life 3 might be announced and published in 2025 after many years of waiting. At least it is considered to be quite solid that the renowned shooter series is still continued. And indeed: maybe it is really quick!
If you give a new insider report, then Half-Life 3 has already gotten far despite the lack of official announcement behind the scenes. Specifically, the first-person shooter should already be completely playable, so it should really be in a final development phase.
The new information comes from the Youtuber Tyler McVicker, who has often made information about Half-Life and Half-Life 3 in particular in the past. He recently uploaded a new video in which he also answered audience questions.
One question was until when a release of Half-Life 3 could be expected. McVicker replied that the game was in playable form from the start to finish. Therefore, he also assumes that the title will be at least announced in the current year 2025.
Valve is said to be in a development phase in which you can do finishing work on the title. Basically, one could almost say that Half-Life 3 is already being prepared for the release. However, since experience has shown that Valve has always put quite a lot of time in this finishing touch and leaves nothing to chance, publication should be at least a few more months away.
