Who is waiting for more franchise feed on the PC after the release of Halo: Reach as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection will now be heard by 343 Industries. A new forum post has now confirmed that the beta test phase for the corresponding PC version of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is imminent.
In the coming month of February, the test phase is to be carried out, which will ultimately take a little longer than initially thought. After all, it is also moving forward in this regard! If you want to participate in the beta, you will first need an invitation.
343 Industries does not offer a formal registration process for this, but at least gives some tips on how you can be there. You need an up-to-date Halo Insider profile including a verified email address. You also need to give 343 Industries permission to contact you and explicitly sign up for the PC test program. Your profile must also have the latest version of DXDIAG.
As part of the test run, the game content is still limited to a few different areas of the game. Among other things, one would like to take a closer look at the peer-to-peer connections of the cross-play between Steam and Windows 10. In addition, the new user interface and dedicated servers should also be examined. There is not yet a release date for the finished version of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary as part of the Master Chief Collection.
