Microsoft’s effort to bring classic Halo games to the PC is worthwhile.
Microsoft and 343 Industries are very satisfied with the response Halo: Chief Chief Collection The latest game on the PC, Halo 4, has reached a climax. This is the last game planned to be ported to the PC.
There are no plans to bring Halo 5 to the market, but PC players can now access all other Halo games that can run locally on the PC and utilize the mouse and keyboard, as well as a series of other PC-specific improvements.
The performance of the Master Chief Collection on Steam may give you a hint that the experiment is underway, but it is always nice to hear the developers. Bonnie Ross, head of the 343 Industries studio, revealed in the year-end update that the re-release on PC has brought many new players to the series.
In fact, according to Ross, this is Halo’s biggest influx of new players since Halo 3. This is undoubtedly good news, because it proves that the PC is an untapped market for Halo.
When Halo Infinite is released in the fall of 2021, this record may also be broken, because the multiplayer mode of the upcoming game will be free to play on all platforms for the first time.
