For some time now we have been able to enjoy a new episode of the Halo series on Paramount+ (Sky in this country) every week. According to Paramount+, quite a few fans around the world seem to be doing this.
We already know that the Halo series did not get off to a bad start. The first episode already set a new viewership record for the Paramount+ streaming service. In the context of the current quarterly report, Paramount+ CEO Bob Bakish has now confirmed that the series has become an international hit and that the series of successes such as 1883 and Star Trek: Picard continues.
Apparently, Bakish holds the series responsible for the fact that Paramount+ was able to gain around 6.8 million subscribers in the last quarter and now has a good 40 million subscribers. The streaming service’s revenue is said to have grown by 148 percent to $585 million.
The fact that Paramount+ continues to have high expectations of the Halo series was already clear from the fact that a second season was confirmed before the launch in March, but it will have a new showrunner in David Wiener. However, the opinions of Halo fans are quite divided. Not a few enjoy the storyline around the Master Chief, while the resistance story around Kwan Ha on Madrigal has caused a lot of frustration so far.
