Tiny Garden is basically the definition of a “cozy game” and pushes exactly the right buttons with a simple concept: you plant and tend a digital garden inside a fold-out toy container – anyone who knows the Polly Pocket suitcases from the 90s knows what I’m talking about. There you grow everything from carrots to sunflowers, set up garden furniture or fountains, or trade your crops. The goal is relaxed building without pressure: the developers promise that there will be no opponents, time limits or even a game-over screen in Tiny Garden. The idea has been hugely popular on Kickstarter: the initial goal of 5,000 dollars to finance the game was exceeded by over 400 percent within a few days. The six-person development team called Ao Norte from Europe should therefore be well equipped to release Tiny Garden on Steam and Nintendo Switch.
