Did you think Sam Levinson’s teen drama Euphoria was over? On Second Thought, HBO/Max boss Casey Bloys has confirmed that the show is still going on as planned despite recent cancellation rumors.
This update comes from the latest HBO/Max press conference held on November 12th (via Variety ). However, that doesn’t even begin to answer how the main cast’s filming schedule will make sense if the company is targeting an early 2025 launch.

Of course, “all actors” does not include Angus Cloud, who died in July 2023 at the age of 25, nor does it include departing actors such as Barbie Ferreira. However, Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Storm Reid, Alexa Demie and Eric Dane appear to be among them. If you’re unfamiliar with the show, you might notice that there are a lot of big names there; which is why putting this piece together has been (and still can be) so tricky.

No word yet on the plot, but even if HBO doesn’t move forward with Levinson’s proposed storyline for Rue (Zendaya) as a private eye, the time jump is to be expected. Earlier this year, HBO briefly “paused the show” to retool the script and write scripts that were more “consistent” with the first two seasons.
