Today may be April Fool's Day, but Helldivers 2 has received an actual patch. It's just a small one, is patch 01.002.202, but given what happened to games on PC lately, there's one solution that caught my attention.
As a quick review, there have been some changes to how the game is calculated since the last big patch (01.002.200), and some PC players on the older system reported that they are unable to play the game without crashing now. Arrowhead confirmed last week that it is fixing the “AVX2 issue.”

Enter patch 01.002.202 and it gets my attention. “The fixed game crashes on the older hardware when the player falls into a mission,” the line lists the tweak.
When writing, we can't be sure that the fix is specifically targeting this AVX2 issue, as it obviously doesn't mention AVX2 specifically, but using “legacy hardware” seems likely to match what's going on, as the AVX2 issue mainly affects older CPUs produced around 2013/2014 around 2013/2014 around 2013/2014 around 2013/2014.
iGamesNews has been emailed with Arrowhead and community manager Katherine 'Baskinator'Baskin (both today's posting announcement and Arrowhead is using the AVX2 fix), and is one of Arrowhead player supporters through Discord in order to try to relate to this solution to whether this fix is related to AVX2 for AVX2.
Currently, trying to read what various players have posted in the channel of Discord Server in Hell 2, it's hard to determine 100% sure if this patch changes all the ways to run the game on older PCs. That said, I noticed several players showing it improved in certain situations.

Never able to exceed 2”, a handle with the Wendigoez/seaf Hellbomb manufacturer, who claims to be writing a book using a 12-year-old CPU, while another sword with the stars of the Anoth/ses Sword said, “I can play with my old sass CP.” ”
