The year started sadly for many PS Plus members who were not included in the selection at the beginning of the year. The trio of games on offer in January 2025 is anything but unanimous. It's hard to ignore Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and the deluxe version of The Stanley Parable as long as you like their respective genres, but Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is the ugly duckling. The gaming service in the Batman Arkham universe has plummeted and Rocksteady officially stopped charging on January 14, 2025. Here are the PS Plus Extra games for January 2025
PlayStation Plus Extra saw a slight decline over the holidays. The service had actually relied on two headliners that had a lot of division upon their release: Sonic Frontiers and Forspoken. Of course, after the disappointment of last month and the beginning of the year with the Essential formula, subscribers were hoping that Sony would make up for it with a major setback. Is 2025 starting with a bang for PS Plus Extra and Premium members? That's a resounding yes, because at the top of the bill we find an important PS5 exclusive: God of War Ragnarok. The God of War is accompanied by some very good productions, including Citizen Sleeper and Sayonara Wild Heart. PlayStation Plus Extra games release this month
These 9 games will be added soon Tuesday, January 21, 2025, around 11 a.m. Conversely, several titles leave the catalog at the same time. No surprises in sight since Sony announced them a few weeks ago to give players time to try out or finish the games that interest them.
