The first look at the Twisted Metal TV show has been released, and while the trailer doesn’t reveal much, it’s enough to pique your interest.
It’s also short, but you get a quick glimpse of Sweet Tooth at the end.
The Twisted Metal TV show was announced in 2019, with Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions positioning the series as an action comedy.
Based on an original work by “Deadpool” and “Zombieland” writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Michael Jonathan-Smith (Cobra Kai) serves as a producer and Kitao Sakurai (Erik Kay) serves as a producer. Andre Show) will serve as executive producer and director for multiple episodes.
Arrested Development star Will Arnett voices the character Sweet Tooth, a “messy lover” who uses Lost Vegas for a personal kill while driving his post-apocalyptic ice cream truck field. Arnett also serves as an executive producer on the show and has extensive voiceover experience in animation and video games. His credits include Batman from The Lego Movie, King of the Hill, Despicable Me, The Cleveland Show, BoJack Horseman, The Simpsons, Teen Titans Go to the Movies, and more.
Other cast members in the series are Winter Soldier’s other executive producer, Anthony Mackie, and Stephanie Beatrice, who played our hero Rosa in “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” Thomas Haden Church (Spider-Man: No Return, Wings, Sideways, Ned and Stacy) is on the show, while Neve Campbell (Scream, The Craft, The Party of Five) will make frequent guest appearances.
The half-hour live-action series airs July 27 on NBC Universal’s Peacock Network.
