Three years after the game's first release in 2017, development of Bayonetta 3 went well.
In the latest issue of Famitsu (via Siliconera), Hideki Kamiya, the creator of the series, confirmed that the third work in the "Bayonetta" series is still under development and is "progressing smoothly."
He added: "Actually, a lot of information was hidden in the 2017 trailer announcement."
At the 2017 Game Awards ceremony, Bayonetta 3 announced the first trailer for the Nintendo Switch. Running in less than a minute, the trailer video showed Bayonetta being hit by a bolt before paying off praise with six rounds of praise. The bullet seemed to hit an invisible wall made of a purple veil and then disintegrated. At the end of the trailer, seeing Bayonneta's feet flexing under her, she dropped two guns.
Platinum Games is releasing new Bayonetta and Vanquish 10th Anniversary Sets to the West. The Japanese version of the bundle will be available on May 28 this year.
The first Bayonetta, released in 2009 for PS3 and Xbox 360, is the most successful product in a multi-game transaction between Platinum and Sega. It was later reissued for the Wii U along with a sequel and even a PC. Since then, Bayoneta's Steam version has sold more than 100,000 units.
