He’s been relatively discreet since the release of Death Stranding in 2019, but he’s been talking about his teams and himself lately: Hideo Kojima is slowly but surely making a comeback.
Yesterday, Playstation unveiled the trailer for a new mysterious and almost photorealistic survival horror, exclusively for the PS5: Abandoned. The game quickly caught players’ attention. And some did not hesitate to create imaginary connections between the software developed by Blue Box Game Studios and Kojima’s secret project. Links were quickly rejected, but this made it possible to get important information.
Kojima Productions and Microsoft: an upcoming agreement?
For example, Jeff Grubb, a knowledgeable reporter for Gamesbeat said, “The biggest piece of evidence I have that Abandoned wasn’t from Kojima is that Kojima is in talks with Micros oft to bring the next game out on the subject. And yes, that statue on Phil Spencer’s shelf was an indication of a possible deal with the legendary developer. I can’t confirm if Xbox has already closed the deal, but I understand Kojima is at the heart of a Microsoft plan to harness Japanese talent. “Will Hideo Kojima’s next game, the name of which will be announced soon, be exclusive to Xbox? Reply shortly. Finally we hope so.
