Kojima Productions showed off another look at Death Stranding 2: Beach at the Tokyo Game Show and revealed the game’s photo mode.
If you’ve ever looked at Hideo Kojima’s Twitter account, you might have quickly noticed that the man loves taking photos. Seriously, just open the game developer’s media tab and he loves them all, whether they’re casual photos with friends and colleagues or appropriately fancy ones. Today, during a “Death Stranding 2” panel held by Kojima Productions at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, some footage of the upcoming sequel was revealed. The most eye-catching one is that the game has a photo mode, but to be honest, it More like photo mode.

You can check out the shot above, but obviously you should expect some pretty typical Kojima goofiness, as this isn’t a simple case of the game world pausing so you can line up your perfect shot. No, instead, the characters move around, making various poses and silly faces, and then you get a nice photo at the right time. The end result will be a Polaroid style photo of relevant people that I imagine you could keep a catalog of. This is a really interesting spin on the very popular photo mode right now, but I do find it interesting that it’s also just an advertisement for Kojima’s official Death Stranding 2 jacket collaboration (which, by the way, costs $1,700 (And it’s already sold out, so don’t worry)).

It’s also incredible that Shion Wakayama, the Japanese voice of Elle Fanning’s character Tomorrow (yes, that’s her name), was cast because of her The character in the anime “Lycoris Recoil”, Kojima is a big fan of this anime. least.
Some other footage was shown during the demo, such as proper introductions to characters like Dollman and Tarman, Tomorrow and Rainy, as well as Heartman, a returning character from the first game. Plus, it looks like Death Stranding 2 will have, uh, a music video? Never change, Kojima.
