The rumor that a reboot to Silent Hill and an episodic game are under development is a bit older. Two independent sources now report on new details about the projects.
Especially fans of Kojimas Silent Hills should pay attention. Because supposedly Sony Hideo Kojima and his former employer Konami are trying to reconcile with each other to revive the project.
The sources: The sources of the new claims are not unknown. So report the website Rely on Horror as well AestheticGamer
about the next Silent Hill project. Both are classified as trusted sources that have made correct predictions in the past. As with all rumors, however, you should enjoy the information with care.
Is Silent Hills Coming Back?
Rely on Horror and AestheticGamer explain that one of the two Silent Hill projects should be the Hideo Kojima project. And the further development should also start from the designer legend. However, there are some hurdles.
Sony as an agent: So Sony is currently in the process of smoothing the relationship between Kojima Productions and Konami in order to revive the project. Corresponding information had been known to Rely on Horror for a long time. They are only reporting on this now that an independent source has confirmed this project.
Negotiations not yet completed: The return of Silent Hills is still uncertain as the negotiations between Kojima Productions, Konami and Sony are still ongoing and no agreement has been reached so far. No corresponding work has yet been carried out on it.
Silent Hills itself was discontinued after Hideo Kojima and Konami parted ways. Kojima then founded his own studio and started developing Death Stranding.

Reboot from veterans
There is also new information about a reboot of the series, regardless of Silent Hills. That should come from the makers of the old Silent Hill parts. In contrast to Kojima's project, this already seems to be certain.
Return of familiar faces: In addition to Keiichiro Toyama, the director and writer of the first Silent Hill from 1999, composer Akira Yamaoka and art director Masahiro Ito are also to work on the soft reboot of the horror series.
The developer studio: The project is to be developed at SIE Japan Studio, which Siren: Blood Curse developed for Playstation 3 in the past and has been in development for over a year.
Time will tell whether the rumors are true. Because official statements about a new Silent Hill game do not yet exist.
