IO Interactive provides a roadmap killer 3 Until January 26th.
The Festive Hoarder event kicked off yesterday, dressing up Paris for the festive season and giving you two unlocks. The first to unlock is Lil’ Flashy, a small robotic toy that helps with certain assassinations. The second is an explosive “gift” that doesn’t look suspicious at all, so feel free to put it where it’s useful.
Playing Holiday Hoarders will also let you unlock Agent 47’s Santa suit, which is permanent for Hitman 3 players. It will also be available to free starter pack players from December 1st to January 5th.
There will be two batches of select contracts on December 15th, the first being Urben’s second holiday special.
The Icon quest will arrive on December 22nd. With it, you’ll head to Sapienza at dusk to watch the filming set of “The Last Stand of a Superstar” where actor Dino Bosco is filming. Your job is to end his career. This mission is free to play from December 22nd to January 2nd.
In Sapienza, you can take on the elusive objective mission called “Bad Boy” on December 30th. The target is an ex-musician turned gangster who evades the police. This scene posed a different challenge for The Icon.
On January 5th, the Hokkaido Ice Festival kicks off, during which you can complete the new Ice To Meet You Challenge to unlock the ICA 19 Iceballer pistol. You’ll also have the chance to unlock the Snow Festival Pack, which free starter pack players can enjoy from January 5th to 26th.
The last Elusive Target for Year 2, The Forger, arrives on January 6th. He is called Mr.Larin and was the first Elusive Target released in 2016. This will be the first time you take him out with the Shashka A33 Gold, Iceballer, or Explosive Christmas Gift. He will be in the city for ten days.
January 12th will see the second Winter Madness Curated Contract arrive, and finally, on January 26th, the long-awaited Freelancer mode arrives.
The mode will be accompanied by a major patch and free addition for all Hitman 3 owners.
Announced in January 2022, the mode was initially planned for release this spring before moving to the second half of the year. In October, it was moved to January 2023. IO says the mode is “almost ready,” but there are a few things to consider before rolling it out.
To help sort things out, the development team held a closed tech beta for the rogue-like mode last month, while also stress-testing the servers. It also gives an idea of player behavior and is an opportunity to achieve economy and XP balance in real life scenarios.
We assume the winter roadmap will eventually expand, as February is part of the winter months, including March through mid-month. We’ll have to wait and see what else players will encounter after the dawn of 2023.
